Internet Connectivity is quickly becoming, and will
continue to be, the most important resource your company has for
communicating. Most companies are doing a very large part of their day to
day workload utilizing internet services; buying, selling, e-mailing,
electronic faxing, photo and video sharing, data applications, and even
traditional voice calls over internet protocol – the uses are almost
endless. That makes this service very important to you, and your company. |
|
DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) This method of accessing the internet is a little more
“traditional”, and has only limited availability based on your proximity
from the closest telephone company central office servicing your area. This
method of access makes it possible to bring internet into your small
business on the same copper facilities as your phone line(s). However, much
like the dial-up internet access of the past, more businesses are looking to
alternate resources to provide larger and faster connections to the
internet, to accommodate more and more of their businesses needs – without
having to worry about their proximity from a carrier central office to do
so. |
|
Dedicated Internet Access This method of internet access provides your business with an “always on” connection to the internet, with a set or variable bandwidth availability, based on your needs. This type of service can be brought into your organization in conjunction with your phone lines for your small to medium sized business (see integrated services), or on a separate “dedicated” circuit that does not share space with any other service for your medium to large sized business.
